Wealth creation is something most of us are interested in, either wishfully (not really doing anything about it) or deliberately (trying hard to increase wealth). If you’re in the former group, just wishing about having more money, here are some wealth creation tips that can improve the situation.
Do You Have a Wealth or a Poverty Mindset?
How you talk about yourself with regard to money and wealth
is a clue about why you don’t have the wealth you desire.
Awareness is the first step to creating positive change.
Become aware of your inner speech and/or the way you talk about money to
yourself or to others. Enter the alpha level (light meditation) using the Silva
countdown method, and simply observe your thoughts. Do you find yourself making
wealth-repelling statements like,One of the first wealth creation tips is be
aware of your self-talk.
“I can’t afford it”
“That’s too rich for my blood”
“Rich people are entitled jerks”
“How can I think about wealth when I can’t make ends meet?”
Also become aware of your attitudes toward money coming to
you as well as money going out:
Do you feel great relief when you have money, or do you
trust that somehow things will always work out for you (and you don’t worry
about money)?
Do you resent paying your bills and avoid paying them until
the last minute, or even late (and end up with late fees)? Or, do you pay them
with gratitude for the services you received?
Mindset Upgrade from Poverty to Wealth
If any of these sound familiar, it’s time for some wealth
creation strategies that involve upgrading your mindset to a wealth mindset
instead of a poverty mindset.
1. Open your mind! Many times, the ego gets in the way. If
you stubbornly cling to “your way” you close yourself off to alternatives that
might be significantly more profitable. Solution: be open-minded. Accept that
alternative approaches might be better or more effective than yours. Use the
Silva visualization techniques to imagine a scenario where you do things
differently from what you believe works. Always be open to alternatives.
2. Change poverty-stricken thoughts and speech. Every time
you catch yourself complaining about money, condemning those who have it, say,
“Cancel, cancel” – the proven Silva way to derail a negative train of thought –
and immediately replace it with a positive statement and emotion. Instead of
saying, “I can’t afford it” (even if it’s true), don’t give that thought any
energy! Replace it with “I’m looking for creative ways to finance this”. Give
thought and emotional energy to what you want, not to what you don’t want! Even
better… imagine what you desire as if you already have it; and ask yourself, “I
wonder how I was able to get this?” to stimulate your mind to find the way!
3. Look beyond money.
If you have thoughts of inadequacy or unworthiness surrounding money, you need
to realize that money is not what you’re really after. Who cares about money?
You can’t eat it, wear it, live in it or have fun with it. Look beyond money,
to the goods and services you can buy with it. Take money out of the equation and
focus your mind on what you ultimately want to do with your wealth.
4. Be grateful for what you have. Always looking to the
future, to something that will make you happy, means you’re unhappy with what
you have. And sure, if your circumstances are undesirable, that’s
understandable! But to shift to a wealth mindset, you must be happy first.
Happiness is an energy, just like anger, fear or sadness. People pick up on
that energy. Would you rather strike a business deal with someone who is happy
and confident, or negative and fearful? Would you rather purchase something
from someone who is happy and helpful or from someone who is resentful because
you’re not buying their high-end product? Would you rather hire someone who is
happy and enthusiastic, or tense and aggressive? People’s energy directly
affects how others interact with them. Think about the energy you are
broadcasting. Does it attract people and money, or repel them?
5. Do what you love. You have certain talents for a reason.
Just because they come easily to you, don’t undervalue them. Use the Silva
visualization techniques to create a mental picture of yourself happily sharing
the fruits of your talents with others. You are enriching their lives through
your creations or your service, cheerfully and to the best of your abilities
-the value you provide will be well
rewarded!
6. Master yourself. People often complain that they don’t
have enough time for wealth creation – they have jobs and chores and such. And
while that’s true…are you using your time wisely? If you argue that you don’t have time,
organize your time better and spend your ‘extra’ time creating wealth.
Be open to opportunities and take action on ideas!
7. Sharpen your awareness. Opportunities are everywhere.
You’re not seeing them because you aren’t open to them (yet). When you are
buying a new car, your mind is focused on it; suddenly that particular car is
everywhere. You didn’t notice it before because your mind filtered it out (it
wasn’t important to you). So focus your mind on the things and experiences you
want, not money and be open to the ways and means to manifest them. You may not
need to spend money to get what you want!
None of these tips encourage you to “work hard.” That’s
because working hard is not always necessary in order to achieve wealth. Your
mindset is more important (be open to alternatives and opportunities; believe
that you are worthy of the things you wish to have); your energy (happiness
attracts wealth; fear, misery and anger repel it) and using your talents to the
best of your ability. These three things will make you happy, and happiness is
the energy that attracts wealth. Try it today!
